Nachdem ich nun den Geburtstag erfolgreich in Macao absolviert hatte ging es gestern früh mit dem Taxi zur Grenze. Ich wurde bereits im Niemandsland zwischen Macao und China von Beamten angesprochen was ich denn im Koffer hätte und wo ich denn hinwolle. Aber dann wurde daraus eine nette Unterhaltung und ich durfte dann weiterziehen zur eigentlichen Einreise. Auch hier war dann doch verstärkte Kontrolle angesagt, mein Pass wurde ziemlich malträtiert und auseinandergenommen und untersucht, da da die vielen Stempel gefälscht sein könnten!?!?!?
Dann durfte ich die Kaufkraft des Euro in China endlich wieder geniessen - für 9€ gabs zunächst ein Busticket für die Fahrt zum FLughafen in Zhuhai (1 Stunde Busfahrt), dann ne Schachtel Marlboro lights und ne Sprite, eine halbstündige Kur für die Fingernägel und abschliessend noch n großes BigMac Menü beim MacoDonaldo. Herrlich !!
Dann gings allerdings nach Shanghai mit ner ruckeligen alten 737, endlich in Pudong gelandet habe ich mich dann ärgern dürfen dass das mit der Sim doch nicht so ganz klappt. Hatte mich schon mit Traudel und Günter verabredet (Freunden von meiner Tante Helga), die mich dann direkt für die Nacht eingeladen hatten. Also ab ins taxi, dem den Hörer ans Ohr und sie hat ihm dann gesagt wo er hinmuss. Gefiel ihm aber nicht und er gab dreimal das Telefon wieder zurück (HALLO Kollege, 5€ die Minute mit deutscher Sim, LOS, MACH !!) - aber letztlich hat er sich dann doch überreden lassen durch die ganze Stadt zu fahren. Und was ein Ritt - mit 140 Sachen durch den Großstadtdschungel, alle Spuren benutzt (was auch Beschleunigungsstreifen auffahrender Autos beinhaltet sowie kreuzen über alle Spuren). 60km !!! in Rekordzeit und das Ganze für 20 €. Dann endlich angekommen in der Heimat von den beiden, nette Villengegend in der natürlich viele Expats mit ihren Familien angesiedelt sind. Heute mal erste Erkundungen in der Stadt, schauen wo das Office ist usw....

after the nice birthday surprise in Macao it was time to conquer my new challenge. Yesterday morning I took off with my big suitcase to cross the boarder and to go to Zhuhai airport. Already in the nomansland between the boarders I got stopped by officers who were wondering what was in my suitcase and were concerned where I was going with that. But with a smile and some smalltalk everything seemed to be cleared out and I could proceed. This time the frontier officer seemed to be very interested in my passport whether all the stamps might be fake (sure, its from Germany). After 10 Minutes of inspecting the thing several times and the oral interview where I was going and why I was cleared and back in the shopping paradise of zhuhai. And the buying power with little money was incredible to experience again: For 9€ I got the ticket for the bus to the Airport (1 hour ride), pack of cigarettes and a Sprite, I went to our all beloved pedicure place and finally a Supersize me chinese style BicMacMenu at MacoDonaldo. Then with the bus to the airport and then the rather rusty 737 took off to Shanghai. After one really crazy taxi ride (60km through the city in 30 minutes for 20€) I arrived at the house of friends of my auntie's and could spend the night there. Peeeeerfect !! Today I will try to find out where my future work place will be and start to try to organize some accommodation.

Geburtstag in Macao
Nach erfolgreicher Abschlussparty (Danke nochmal allen fürs kommen, war schon ein sehr unterhaltsamer Abend mit badisch-schwäbischer Völkerverständigung ;))
war dann die letzten Tage natürlich noch packen, Zimmer ausräumen etc. angesagt.
Koffer schon wieder leicht übergewichtig mit 24kg, Anzüge wiegen halt leider doch ne Menge, aber was will man machen !?!
Dann Montag gabs nochmal lustiges Weisswurstfrühstück in der WG mit den Herren Krieg und Pudlo - und dann um 2 gings ab nach Hause, Auto abstellen (schon wieder mal abmelden, man gönnt sich ja sonst nichts), und dann bei spannendem Oster-Wetter ab nach Frankfurt zum Flieger.
18.40 abflug - Ankunft in London mal wieder verspätet aber ich kannte den Weg ja schon ein wenig, von daher kam ich dann genau 15 minuten vor Schalterschluss am Flieger an und konnte mich dann versuchen auf den 11 Stunden nach Hongkong zu entspannen. Wie gesagt - versucht :) Mehr als 3 Stunden waren nich drin.
Dann entspannt noch ne Stunde in Hongkong am Flughafen rumhängen bis die Fähre gefahren is, alles schon Routine ;)))))
Und dann wiedersehen in Macao, herrlich. Schon krass wenn man zurückkommt und alles schon kennt am anderen Ende der Welt. Dann ab zu der wilden WG, Luis, Clement und Jose wiedergesehen, Marine war auch schon dort. Und dann sind wir später ins MGM und haben dort noch gediegen gefeiert, sogar die alte Band war noch da,hat mich auch gefreut weils somit echt ein lustiger Abend war. Habe dann von Band und MGM tatsächlich einen RIESENCOCKTAIL bekommen, 1,5l Schirmchendrink - herrlich. So muss das sein :)) Heut war dann Besuche machen angesagt, Grace besucht, unsere Betreuerin, und später gehen wir noch ins Crown Casino essen. Morgen gehts dann ab nach Shanghai, ich werde berichten...
Howdy Macao Partycrowd ;)
Rumours have been spreading about me coming back to our favourite place in Asia ;) And I sure kept my promise that " I ll be back ". After my farewell party I took the plane monday at 6pm, the flight to London was delayed as always, but what can you do. But this time I almost remembered the way through the terminals so I managed to arrive in time and could try to relax on my 11 hours flight to Hongkong. Trying is the right keyword - more than 3 hours sleep wasnt in it for me. But then the craaaaazy feeling coming back "home" - I took the ferry to macao and when I saw the red glazing lights of Sands when we were approaching Macao ferry terminal it was really a weird feeling: " I am actually back in Macao". Then I took the cab to "los cohones infernales" to meet up with Luis, Clement and Jose. I went up the elevator to their 31st floor and then Luis was outside who couldnt believe his eyes :))) I only told Clement that I was coming, course part of the people already knew but they still werent sure or just couldnt believe it. Of course big partying - we went good oldschool style to the MGM and celebrated my birthday there. Even the old band is still here till the end of this week so I got really lucky. Then they were even playing a song for me and I got one huuuuuuge Martini Glas (1,5l) with cocktail in it for everybody. Thats really crazy, nice people at the MGM, THANKS A LOT !! So we partied till late and then with the gambling, drunken bunch the last survivors including Luis, Jose's brother and Marine, Amandine and her (ex)boyfriend we went to MP4 which was closed unfortunately. But that just doesnt stop us, so we took the next cab to the 24h McDo :) equipped with delicious burgers (Sami u miss that one, or ?? ;) ) - we went to the D2's of course. Hookers and some leftovers were still there but I guess we all had enough party for one night.
tonight we will have a big dinner at Crown and then maybe one more time to the Venetian ;) and tomorrow I ll be off to Shanghai...

Einen wunderschönen allerseits...
SO, herzlich willkommen im neuen Tagebuch oder Neudeutsch Blog, in dem ich über meine weiteren Abenteuer informieren werde !!
Viel Spass beim Lesen sofern ihr Zeit habt oder einfach nur beim Bilder stöbern.
Haben sicherlich alle mittlerweile mitbekommen dass ich mich entschieden habe nach den Wochen voller Rumreiserei in Europe und den dutzenden Vorstellungsgesprächen wat weiss ich wo meine Masterarbeit in Shanghai anzufertigen. Kaum da, schon wieder weg... aber dazu später mehr.
Erstmal gilt es die letzten Tage hier noch zu geniessen, werde ja einige morgen noch auf unserer "Zwei Geburtstage und ein Abschiedsfall"-Party sehen und noch Gelegenheit haben das ein oder andere Glase mit euch zu heben und ein wenig zu quasseln.
Heute haben wir noch richtig chillaxed :)) Thermalbad, Karfreitags-Schlemmer-Fischfilet und heut abend noch ne Runde was zocken im Kreise der Mitbewohner. MOrgen Party, Sonntag erholen und Montag 18.40 gehts dann schon los Richtung Chinoisien ;). Hat sich supergeil alles aneinandergefügt und somit werde ich die Überreste der Austauschstudis in Macao mit meiner Anwesenheit beehren und meinen Geburtstag mit denen feiern - dat wird mit Sicherheit ganz witzig. Heisst ich fliege nach Hongkong (Ankunft: DI 17.50 in Hongkong), fahr dann mit der FÄhre nach Macao, feier dort Geburtstag und werde dann Donnerstag hoch nach Shanghai fliegen. Aber dazu einfach später mehr...
Well, guess this time with all the curious dutch, swedish and finnish community I don't get around writing a blog with some content in english too. But of course I am more than willing to sacrifice my precious time to tell you people at home how the work-crazy German is doing ;)
As some of you already noticed I decided after some long weeks of intensive travelling throughout Europe (thanks to the dutch and belgium community again for meeting and partying) to write my final master thesis in Shanghai. So for now I try to enjoy the last days here in Karlsruhe with family and friends, tomorrow me and a friend will have a party for birthdays and farewell, guess that will be a nice happening meeting all the partyfolks again at least for a couple of months.
I won't tell much in advance coz I want to suprise certain people that might end up finding this page or blog somehow so I will tell the english speaking community later where my travelling will lead me in the first place, but be reassured - its going to be one crazy week next week. More information later... or try to translate the German version ;)))))
