Montag und der Magen streikt

Nach erfolgreichem Shopping gestern erneut ging es heute dann doch schon wieder ins Buero - seltsame erste Woche aber so is das halt. FR und SO Wochenende dafuer SA und MO Arbeitswoche. Gestern war dann doch mal ausschlafen angesagt (bin irgendwie immer noch mit Schlafkrankheit befallen seit ich hier angekommen bin, wenn ich keine 8 Stunden schlafe geht wirklich uuuueberhaupt nichts tagsueber) und dann wieder Shopping. Es galt immer noch die Wochenaufgabe zu erfuellen - Waeschestaender kaufen. Da Chinesen ja ihre Waesche einfach an irgendwelche Stangen in und um Wohnung herum aufhaengen war das auch wirklich nicht so ganz so einfach. Nach wilder Rumsucherei haben Beate und ich dann endlich den Carrefour gefunden in der Naehe eines Parks hier (Daniel: ZhongShangpark noch ein Begriff???) und dort gab es dann tatsaechlich einen - YIPPIE. 15 Euro aber gut, muss ja sein.



Dann habe ich mir noch ueberlegt Daniel (meinem Supervisor) fuer das Angebot der Unterkunft ein Dankeschoen oder Einweihungsgeschenk zu kaufen, habe mich dann fuer Unterhaltung per DVD Player entschieden, die zu meinem Entsetzen teurer sind als die in Deutschland und somit war das billigste Model dennoch 40 euro teuer. Abends daheim stolz aufgebaut und praesentiert habe ich dann auch noch das Montags-Geraet erwischt und natuerlich hat der Player ne Macke und ich muss die Woche nochmal die Weltreise zum Carrefour antreten, um den Spass wieder umzutauschen.

Dann waren wir noch essen, naja, so kann man es ja eigentlich nicht nenne, ich wuerde es eher als chinesische Mutprobe betiteln: Essen an einem der fahrenden Strassenwaegen, die ihre Fleischauslagen vor deinen Augen ueber dem Bottich voller Holzkohle grillen (ja Mum, dumme Idee, ich weiss, aber habs jetzt auch gelernt). Also ran an das Wagnis und prompt mit ner Magenverstimmung belohnt geworden. Aber das faellt irgendwie unter die erste Umstellung in China, jetzt ist der Magen hoffentlich auch chinesisch umgestellt und macht keine Zicken mehr. Bin dann gestern nach nem halben Tag gegangen (16 Uhr), schleppte mich noch durch bis ich die erste Gliederung meiner Arbeit mit meinem Prof. telefonisch besprechen konnte und dann war genug. Ab ins Bett und heute gehts schon wieder... leichtes Ziehen noch in Magengegend aber soweit wieder alles ok.
Die Arbeitswoche kann weitergehen...

Howdy Party Community,

weird starting week but what can you do - Friday was holiday but all of a sudden you find yourself in the office on a saturday, also ok coz my supervisor had to start/finish a project already related to my master thesis. Yesterday I was sleeping in (somehow I am really adapting to the chinese community, I sort of can sleep everywhere and without my 8 hours per night or dayshift it's impossible to get things done during the day). After that we (me and Beate, the other intern) went shopping - AGAIN. After she bought some stuff at the fake market we were looking for my task of the week - finding a cloth hanger for the flat to dry my stuff after the washing machine has tortured it. Chinese people only use bars or every available spot to hang their clothes so I wasnt very successful so far. After some searching and Poka helping out with the adress and location we finally managed to find the Carrefour (thank you french community) and they finally had what I wanted - 150 Yuan but what the heck, it s worth it !!

For my nice accommodation (which for now at least is cheap coz its free) I wanted to thank my supervisor and after some running through the aisles I decided to go with entertainment stuff and bought a DVD player, which was the cheapest there but compared to german prices was still expensive with 40 Euro. but ok. Unfortunately somehow I managed to get the so called "monday release" so of course it wasnt working as it should be, it starts playing dvds and then stops after a couple of minutes. Well, guess I have to do some travelling again this week to return the stuff to the Carrefour.

My highlight this week was the crazy attempt to test my stomach so Daniel and me went to get food at the street stalls where the chinese are wildly cooking stuff and grilling meat on their mobile oven equipment. What can I say, it turned out to be quite a heavy challenge for my stomach and so I had to leave the office yesterday after half a day (4pm) to go home and put myself to rest.

today everythings back to normal and the rest of the working week can come. Right now we are hoping that the weather towards the weekend will get better coz we wanted to plan for some daytrip or sth. but we have to see, right now all towers here are surrounded by fog and clouds and smog combined with cold temperatures, so not that amuzing.
